dt log system

Overview

Collect recent system logs into a gzipped archive for inspection

Synopsis

dt log system [OPTIONS] 

Options

• -l, --last=<last>
  Duration of logs to collect. Default is 15 minutes.

• -o, --output=<output>
  Name of the output archive. Extension .tgz will be added. "-" writes to stdout.

• -t, --offset=<offset>
  UTC timestamp for the end of the window. Default is current time.

Examples

Collect 15 minutes of logs ending at a specific UTC time, write archive to system_logs.tgz

dt log system -l 15m -t 2026-03-03T10:15:00Z -o system_logs

Remote CLI usage: download the gzipped archive over stdout (last 15 minutes by default)

dt log system -o - > system_logs.tgz
